MEDICAL ACTIONS

The association Amitié Solidarité France Vietnam is fortunate to count among its members many professionals from the medical sector. Thus, we regularly carry out medical missions in Vietnam in order to improve access to healthcare for the most vulnerable people.

November 2018

Members of the association spent the morning at the Hanoi Post Office Hospital with the director, assistant director and various department heads. This enabled us to take an overview of the results of the latest missions: some doctors have done internships in France as part of an exchange with the hospital in Dreux.

The various medical materials (splints, sterile care kit, surgical dressings, glasses for children and adults) that we provided were very much appreciated.

Finally, as in 2016, the members of the association gave courses to the nursing sisters of the community of Saint Paul of Chartres and did with them rehabilitation sessions for the handicapped children of Bich Hoa.

October 2018

Members of the association carried out care work among the population of Hoa Binh (Muong minority ethnic group). The various donations of medicines and medical equipment made it possible to treat more than a hundred people in one day.

Betty is once again giving French lessons to the doctors at the Post Office Hospital in Hanoi.

During this mission, Pierre-Jean, a physiotherapist, also trained the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in Hanoi in physiotherapy. They were able to set up a regular consultation in the establishment for the handicapped in Bich Hoa (western district of Hanoi).

The association participated in the opening of a dispensary in the Hanoi region in Thai Binh.  We provided medical equipment.

Betty, a member of the association and a French teacher, gave French classes to doctors at the post office hospital in Hanoi. The aim of these courses was to facilitate communication between Vietnamese and French doctors so that the latter could give medical training to their Vietnamese colleagues.
